Last week was the 2026 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Kissimmee, Florida. Continuing the momentum of recent years, this edition once again brought together more than four thousand competitors, making for an event packed with insane matches.

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate all our Kingz athletes on their performances. Win or lose, stepping onto the competition mat is an achievement in itself.

There were some standout performances we’d like to highlight.

BLACK BELTS

Sarah Galvao: Black Belt - Lightweight Division & Open Class Division

What a run for Sarah Galvao. In her first year as a black belt, she dominated both the lightweight division and the open class.

Her most notable victory came in the open class final against Gabi Pessanha. Sarah won by points (6–0) in a very strategic match, handing Gabi her first loss in a black belt open class.

This is the second Grand Slam gold of the year, after winning the Europeans in January.

Tainan Dalpra: Black Belt - Middleweight Division

Tainan Dalpra continues his dominant run, capturing gold and becoming a 5x Pan Champion.

In the final, he took over early, pulling and sweeping straight into mount to build a strong lead. After a tough exchange, he kept the pressure and closed out the match with a 9–0 points victory.

Another statement performance that reinforces his position at the top of the division.

Lillian Marchand: Black Belt - Middleweight Division

Canadian Lillian Marchand is making history in the IBJJF, winning her first Pan title as a black belt. She delivered several standout performances, including a choke from the back in the semifinals and an armbar submission in the finals.

Cole Abate: Black Belt - Featherweight Division

Cole Abate delivered another dominant performance at the IBJJF Pans, taking gold in the Featherweight Division after four matches.

One of the highlights of his run came in the semifinals, where he submitted the current World Champion with a kneebar. In the final, Cole faced a tough battle but lived up to his nickname — “Ice” Cole kept his cool, escaped a dangerous leg lock, and secured the points to claim the title.

Ashlee Funegra: Black Belt - Light Featherweight Division (Silver)

Ashlee Funegra put on a strong performance in her division, winning her matches and closing out the finals with a teammate to reach the podium at her first Pan as a black belt.

Piter Frank: Black Belt (Master 3) - Middleweight Division

Just Piter Frank being Piter Frank. He dominated the middleweight division, winning four matches with 75% submission rate on his way to the title.

Sergio Rios: Black Belt (Master 2) - Open Class Gold & Heavyweight Division Bronze

After taking a bronze medal in his weight division, Sergio “Pichilinga” Rios returned to the Open Class to get the job done and claimed the title.
