Your fit affects your game. Get it right the first time.
Understanding Kingz Sizes
The baseline scale for most practitioners. Higher numbers add room throughout — chest, sleeves, and pants. A0–A1 for lighter, slimmer frames; A2 is the most common size on the mat; A3–A6 for broader builds and taller athletes.
Same torso width as the base size, with longer sleeves and pant legs. Built for tall, lean frames with long arms and narrow shoulders. An A2L fits tall and slim where a standard A2 would leave sleeves short.
Adds width through the chest, shoulders, and lapel without excessively long pant legs. Better for broader, thicker builds. An A2H fits someone shorter but heavier through the torso than a standard A2.

Scaled for younger practitioners without excess bulk. Sized to allow for growth over time — an important consideration for athletes training toward long-term goals on the mat.
How to Measure for the Right Size
Weight determines how the jacket wraps across your torso. It is the single most important measurement. If you are between two sizes, follow weight before height.
- Too light → excess fabric gives opponents more to grip
- Too heavy → lapels barely overlap; collar harder to secure
- Correct → clean overlap, full shoulder rotation
Height refines sleeve and pant length only. Once weight anchors the jacket size, height determines whether you pass competition inspection.
- Sleeves should reach near the wrist bone, arms extended
- Pants should rest just above the ankle
- Too short risks failing IBJJF measurement checks
- Too long invites grip control and entanglement
Arm length varies significantly among athletes of identical height. A longer wingspan means standard sleeves may come up short — even when weight and height align.
If your arms consistently feel short in standard cuts, L variants or bridge sizes close this gap at both training and competition level.
Tie-Breaker: When measurements leave you on the fence, let your game decide. Pressure passers and top players benefit from sizing down — less fabric for opponents to grip. Guard players, inverters, and dynamic movers benefit from sizing up — more freedom through hips and shoulders.

Note: Charts are a starting point — not a verdict. When measurements fall between sizes, consider L or H variants to dial in the fit, and always prioritize how the gi performs in live rounds over numbers on a page.
Shrinkage by Model
These models are pre-shrunk but not fully — expect some additional shrinkage with heat exposure. Cold wash and air dry to preserve the fit you selected.
These models are fully pre-shrunk and hold their original dimensions reliably. Minimal additional shrinkage expected even with regular washing.
Care Rule: Cold water and air drying preserve the fit you selected regardless of model. Heat changes cotton — even in pre-shrunk gis. You can shrink a slightly large gi down, but you cannot reverse one that's too small. For the first few washes, stay disciplined and let the fabric settle naturally.
